To rent a car in the United States, you must be 25 years old or older. If you are younger than 25, there are some car rental companies that will charge you a minimal daily surcharge.  Always check the Terms and Conditions of the supplier so there will be no surprises when picking up your car rental.

I do not have a credit card, what are my options?

Will I get the make and model of the car I booked?

The description of the vehicle will say "Vehicle Type or Similar." The make and model of the car you reserved depends on availability at the time you pick up your car rental. Your car rental reservation confirmation will clearly state the following:

Features:  Vehicle size, air conditioning, etc.

Capacity:  Number of passangers recommended for the rental car.

Storage:  Number of suitcases or luggage estimated to fit in the rental car.

Should I prepay for gas or fill the car rental before returning?

It is always cheaper to fill your car with fuel rental before you return it to the supplier! The only advantage to prepaying is that you can return the car half empty and save a little time. More often than not, the price is much higher when you opt to prepay and you will have to buy a full tank. Filling the car rental before returning is the cheapest way to go.
